Date: Monday 28th March 2022: Do you ever just wish you had more? More content, drama, laughs, edge of your seat thrillers? Well now you do as today Virgin Media launches‘Virgin Media More’, a platform exclusive channel that will be the home of first look premium content and will offer viewers the very best of ground-breaking Irish and International drama, documentaries & sport.
Launching on Channel 100 on Tuesday 12th April, the highly anticipated series ‘Holding’ will debut on Virgin Media More at 9pm. Set and filmed in Cork, this four-part drama series is an adaptation of Graham Norton’s best-selling debut novel and features a host of Irish actors including Game of Thrones’ Conleth Hill in the lead role of Seargent PJ Collins, Derry Girls’ Siobhán McSweeney, Peaky Blinders’ Charlene McKenna, Normal People’s Clinton Liberty and My Left Foot Oscar-winner Brenda Fricker.

Another must see drama launching on Virgin Media More is ‘Trigger Point’, starring Vicky McClure from Line of Duty as a bomb disposal expert. This tense drama follows bomb disposal operative Lana Washington (played by Vicky), alongside colleague Joel Nutkins, played by Adrian Lester. The series focuses on the Metropolitan Police bomb disposal squad and counter terrorism unit confronting an imminent terrorist threat in the City of London over the summer.
Ground- breaking documentaries launching on Virgin Media More include series two of the highly acclaimed ‘The Guards: Inside The K’, aswe join the guards tackling Ireland’s criminal gangs and those coercing or enticing children into a life of crime.

And six-partCold War spy thriller ‘The Ipcress File’. Set in the 1960s, it follows Harry Palmer, a working-class sergeant, who becomes a spy to avoid military jail after a series of dodgy dealings.
If that’s not enough drama, we’ll have premium live sport including all the action from the Europa League knock-out stages. And brand-new Sports Stories with Graeme Souness and Mick McCarthy, as they open up to Tommy Martin about the highs and lows of their glittering football careers.
