Single ‘The Vow’, by Award winning songwriter and singer RuthAnne, is flying back up the Irish and UK charts after she was flown to Ibiza to perform the song by Love Island’s Tommy Fury as he proposed to Molly-Mae Hague – the ultimate romantic gesture.
Originally released in 2019 and celebrating its 5-year anniversary this year, ‘The Vow’ was played during the final of Love Island in 2019 when Tommy and Molly-Mae were announced as runners up. Ever since, Molly Mae has said it is her favourite song!
The single enjoyed huge success on its release – It hit No.1 on iTunes in 2019 after Love Island and it has now returned today to No.1 in Ireland and No. 2 in the UK iTunes chart. It also hit No.5 on Global Shazam Charts, featured on Love Island finale episode in UK, USA & Australia in 2019 and has been synced on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and Netflix hit show ‘Raising Dion’.
The much-loved song has also been used by hundreds and thousands of couples around the world for weddings and engagements – Molly Mae and Tommy even used ‘The Vow’ as the soundtrack for their baby gender reveal in 2022.
RuthAnne Cunningham, from Dublin, is a 37-year-old London-based singer/songwriter/artist and producer. She is a two-time Grammy nominated songwriter for her work with Diana Ross & John Legend.
