The countdown is on! Ballyboughal presents its Midsummer Heritage Village Party on Saturday, June 24 from 4pm, writes Rose Barrett.
The opening parade will commence at Main Street Bridge, up to St Patricks Hall, where a heritage exhibition will be shown. Music and dancing will take place also in O’Connors Village Inn car park with live music and entertainment. Art and face painting for the kiddies, along with Irish dancing, trad music, etc.
“Bring along your deck chair and enjoy the show,” said the organisers. Musicians welcome from 4-8pm. After 8pm, there will be a show with Ronnie and Niamh’s ‘Branded’ followed at 10pm by ‘The Tulips’
.Great fun, and everyone is welcome and it’s a FREE event! However, the committee did say they could do with a few spare sets of hands on the day!
