Forever Young Festival to Return in 2022

Forever Young Festival will return to its usual location of Palmerstown House Estate near Naas, KIldare in 2022, the organisers have announced. The festival, which attracts a kind of ‘who’s who’ of 80s nostalgia, is famed for its positive atmosphere and relatively luxury feel, as far as festivals go.

This year’s lineup is, naturally, to be completed, but an early announcement includes more than 30 acts, and will appeal to plenty of gig goers who remember the 80s as a heyday. The first announcement includes Wet Wet Wet’s Marti Pellow, Boomtown Rats, The Undertones, Holly Johnson (of Frankie Goes to Hollywood), Bananarama, Chesney Hawkes, Hot Chocolate and M People vocalist Heather Small.

The event will take place from the 15-17 of July, and has been described by organisers as a “mixtape” where attendees can “relive their youth.” Facilities will include the option of glamping, which includes beds, duvets and hot showers, making Forever Young perhaps the most comfortable festival to crash at in Ireland.

Forever Young is also keen to emphasize its green credentials, which include a zero landfill policy, a ban on single use plastics on site, and all profits being donated to charity, including an animal rights organisation.

The event is, for obvious reasons, a reschedule of the planned 2021 festival, and as such anyone who wants to attend will have to act quickly: tickets are not currently on sale, apart from a small number of returns in relation to the earlier date, available at a 20% discount on the website, with many tickets having already sold, and been held over from last year.

The discounted tickets will be removed from sale shortly, with a number of full-priced tickets expected to be available in their place, alongside further details on what to expect from the 2022 event.
