Former James Bond actress Jane Seymour is set to star in a new mystery series ‘Harry Wild’ set in Dublin.
The multi-award winning performer is to play a role of a recently retired English professor (Harriet Wild) with an interest in crimincal cases which are being worked on by her police detective son, Charlie.
Co-written by Irish writer Jo Spain, the eight-part drama will go out on air next year and has been snapped up to streaming service Acorn TV. It will be shown in Britian, US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand among other nations.
Explaining the attraction of the role, Seymour said: “From the first moment I read the script, I fell in love with Harry Wild and am beyond excited to head to Ireland and step into the role of this very curious and passionate retired professor.”.
The series is written by David Logan of ‘Lost Christmam’ fame, with Spain, who wrote the Taken Down drama series for RTE. Veteran producer Morgan O’Sullivan and James Flynn (Vikings) will executive produce along with Seymour.
