The Hugh Lane Gallery are hosting a family event on Saturday July 31 and Sunday August 1, which will take place on Parnell Square North, writes Amy Rohu.
Art and the Outdoors is inspired by artists who have moved their studios to paint outdoors. The programme includes artist-led outdoor drawing, street performers, live music and readings from Poetry Ireland.
Director of the Hugh Lane Gallery Barbara Dawson said: “We look forward to families and communities joining us for this exciting event.”
The Hugh Lane Gallery’s Art and the Outdoors celebration will be launched on Saturday 31 July at noon by the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Alison Gilliland.
The free event will run from noon to 4pm each day but due to Covid-19 restrictions, places will be limited, so participants are advised to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
