The Culture Date with Dublin 8 festival is set to celebrate its fifth year, with over fifty free events announced.
From Saturday 13th – Sunday 14th of May, the area that Time Out magazine called one of “the coolest neighbourhoods in the world” will come alive with curated events, including talks, walks, markets, performances and tours.
This year, the festival will commemorate 100 years since the end of the Irish Civil War with a programme that reflects upon this milestone in Irish history.
Speaking at the programme launch, the festival’s curator Grace McEvoy invited attendees to come and be inspired.
“We are delighted to announce the launch of this year’s Culture Date with Dublin 8 festival,” she said.
“Revel in a range of awe-inspiring cultural experiences while enjoying what has been hailed as one of Ireland’s most vibrant and diverse areas.
“Explore millennia worth of Viking, mediaeval history and modern art. Visit exhibitions, take part in guided tours around local landmarks and uncover hidden gems right on your doorstep.
“There is something for everyone at this unique event that celebrates all things Dublin 8”.
The Culture Date with Dublin 8 festival will take place on Saturday May 13-14. All events are free but booking is required. See www.culturedatewithdublin8.ie.
