No doubt looking to cash in on the Christmas present ticket market, some of the bigger Irish festivals have begun announcing their line ups and putting their tickets on sale, sometimes at ‘first in, best price’ reduced rates, over the past couple of weeks.

Still in its infanthood, Wicklow festival Beyond The Pale has a real muso feel, imaginatively curated in a small space that enables punters to take in a lot of live music and see a selection of acts less commonly seen on our shores. They’ve announced a significant number of acts already, with headliners including the dual hit of Belgian electronic duo Soulwax/ 2 Many DJs, Jungle, Jessie Ware, Thievery Corporation, The Sugarhill Gang, Gilla Band, Richie Hawtin and Romy already announced, alongside dozens more.

Beyond the Pale takes place on June 21-23, has a family angle, too, and is on sale as a full three-day event only.

All Together Now in Waterford have been a little more circumspect in their line up announcement, keeping most of the event under wraps, with a teaser announcement of just five acts ahead of the Christmas sale. Another popular scenester event, ATN takes place in the middle of the summer, August 1-4. The have bagged a mega headliner, in cult indie band The National. They’ll be joined by Jorja Smith, Future Islands, Bakar, and Barry Can’t Swim, with a heap of acts still to be revealed.

All Together Now has already sold out two of its four price tiers at the time of writing, with all campervan tickets also having flown out of the door. What’s left of the popular events tickets have been on sale since the Monday just passed, and may not last too long.
