Following their sold-out show last June, Funny Women Dublin is back! ChatterBoxx will host the largest Irish Funny Women event to date on Monday, November 6 in Whelan’s on Wexford St.
A household name, Deirdre O’Kane, needs no introduction. Currently touring her sell-out show ‘Demented’, Deirdre will be headlining the evening with her dazzling, charismatic and skilful comedy.
Funny Women is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to bring women into the comedy industry in a supportive way. Portmarnock woman Orla Doherty and Val Troy as ChatterBoxx, volunteer as the Irish producers for Funny Women and will co-host the November show headlined by Deirdre O’Kane and featuring Justine Stafford, DirtBird Sinead Culbert and newcomer Sophia Cadogan.
Justine Stafford is a rising star in comedy; her hilarious online sketches have earned her over 400k followers across social media. Sinead Culbert – one half of the hilarious comedy duo DirtBirds who are currently touring their show #NoFilters around the UK and Ireland. Sophia Cadogan, another of Ireland’s brightest newcomers who has just hit the comedy scene running and definitely, one to watch for the future!
