Loreto High School BeaufortsTY musical presents ‘Chicago – teen edition’, writes Rose Barrett.

To run from March 5-8 next, the musical is about love, homicide, criminality and competition. The story of Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart is displayed through jazz music and dance.

“With every student in the year preforming, we hope to excite our audience by displaying all of their skills,” said Gemma Dolan. The show will include many favourites including ‘All That Jazz’, ‘Funny Honey’, ‘Cell Block Tango’, ‘When You’re Good to Mama’ and ‘All I Care About is Love’.

“We invite you to come and visit our musical in March. By scanning the QR code on our posters, it will bring you to our Eventbrite website where you may purchase tickets to see either the Pink cast on Wednesday or Friday (6 and 8) or the Green cast on Tuesday or Thursday (5 and 7). The musical will be held in the school hall from 7pm (doors open at 6:30pm) each night. Everyone is welcome, we’d like as many people from inside and outside of the school community to attend and see our performances!”
