Irish artist Kevin Sharkey will host a two-day exhibition at the stunning Grand Hotel Malahide on August 8th and 9th 2020. Social distancing guidelines will be adhered to at all times.
The exhibition will open at 11:00 Saturday and will run until 19:00 on both days. Kevin is an internationally recognised artist and was voted “Ireland’s most collectable artist” by the Sunday Tribune Magazine, he was also called “Ireland’s most bankable artist” in the money section of the Sunday Times magazine.
He has painted since the age of twelve and his self-taught style is highly sought after.
His large abstract work adorn may well know Hotels including The Gresham hotel in O’Connell street. Collectors of his work include President Michael Higgins, Sarah Jessica Parker, and many well-known and respected collectors worldwide.
His vivid and vibrant work have also appeared in RTE’s love hate. Picasso collector Abel Mattues, (Spain’s ex finance minister) owns two of Sharkey artworks of which he says” I love his style, its unique, Bold and visionary”
Sharkey has been hailed the new Jean Michel Basquiat. The artist says “Creativity is healing” that’s why I paint. The two-day exhibition will showcase several larger 160×160 cms paintings including many 100×100 in his usual style.
