Boots kicked off Christmas at The Clarence Hotel in style! Beauty influencers and media enjoy chocopagne, vintage entertainment – and Santa James!

‘Chocopagne’ a delightful mix of white chocolate and champagne was but one of the delightful drinks on offer at the launch of Boots’ Christmas campaign on Thursday last.

Hosted at the Clarence Hotel, beauty industry influencers and journalists turned out to view and celebrate Boots Christmas range for 2022. It was Heaven to attend my first proper PR event since the onset of Covid 19.

James Patrice certainly made a statuesque festive impression in a red sequin mini dress with fur detail. Wearing high wedge heels, he towered over the attendance but his good humour and sense of fun was infectious!

The Bugle Babes looked delightful in their vintage rockabilly ensembles as they performed ‘Santa Baby’ and all the great festive classics. We guests enjoyed cocktails and delicious canapés and were treated to generous goody bags.

Among fashion and beauty influencers were Bairbre Power, Aimee Connolly, Tara Anderson, Hilda Smith (overthehilda.ie), Miss Ireland 2021 Pamela Uba, Malahide Woman and lots of celebrities from TV and the modelling industry.

Boots staff were on hand to chat about the various gift ranges and the zillions of exciting giftware in Boots ‘Joy For All’ gift guide 2022. Oona Tully of Tully Calligraphy never stopped all evening busy presenting personalised baubles for the Christmas tree. Based in Dublin, Tully Calligraphy is popular with leading events for Molton Brown, Rituals, La Mer, etc.

Leigh Fagan, Store Manager of Boots Upper Baggott Street stated the Maura Higgins Bellamiantia tanning range is hugely popular this year, as is Sculpted by Aimee launched at Boots in Grafton Street this autumn.

Seasonal gifts were beautifully displayed in and amongst Christmas trees showcasing all Boots has to offer, from fragrance gifts to beauty offerings and advent calendars to star you in your tracks star gifts – all at great value.

The No7 Beauty Company showed off a selection of Christmas treats with gifts from Ted Baker, Liz Earle and of course, No7. Let’s not forget Irish brands SoSu, Rosie Connolly for Inglot, Sculpted by Aimee, Bellamianta and Spotlight – all celebrated in a dedicated Irish gifting section at the launch.

“Out the door is the Dyson Airwrap Multi Styler. It’s a luxury gift priced at €579.99. The Dyson Corrale Straightener is also in demand – definitely a girl’s best friend!

“Lots of choice from Dyson but if you’re looking for a competitively priced good alternative, check out Mark Hill’s ‘Pick ‘N Mix’ range starting from €23.99. You can purchase any or all of the barrel accessories to create the look you want, it’s another seasonal winner.”
