Registrations are now open for the inaugural Big Beaumont Hospital Fun Run, writes Rose Barrett. Proudly sponsored by Glenveagh, the 5k timed Fun Run will take place on Sunday, October 1, in St Anne’s Park, Raheny.
Beaumont Hospital Foundation and Glenveagh are inviting participants to register their place and help raise funds, while enjoying an active day out. In the all-inclusive Fun Run, participants can choose to walk, run or jog the 5km through a scenic tree-lined course in St Anne’s Park, while raising much-needed funds for Beaumont Hospital patient care.
Beaumont Hospital Foundation works to create awareness about the significant medical contribution which Beaumont Hospital makes to the community and to thousands of patients from all over Ireland.
Speaking on the sponsorship, Annette McGarry, Community Engagement Manager at Glenveagh said, “Glenveagh and Beaumont Hospital Foundation share a passion for supporting communities and helping them thrive through adding value to the life of residents and the wider communities. Supporting Beaumont Hospital Foundation for their first annual Fun Run is, therefore, a natural fit for us, as we are dedicated to enriching and building lasting communities.”
Commenting on the fun run, Fiachra O’Riordan, Head of Beaumont Hospital Foundation said, “We are very pleased to have Glenveagh’s support for the launch of our first ever Fun Run, which will bring the community together for a really good cause, raising essential funds for patients, families and the community that Beaumont Hospital support on a daily basis.” All participants will receive a T-shirt and a finisher’s medal; online registration costs €25 for single entry or €60 for a family package at https://register.enthuse.com/ps/event/BigBeaumontHospitalFunRun.
