FOUNDATION in a can – now that is something you don’t see every day, so when Gazette Style got the chance to test it out, we didn’t hesitate to get our spray on!

The Aero Minerale Makeup Mist range combines the benefits of a mineral foundation with the ease of aerobrushing.

It claims to be lightweight and long-lasting, with an oil-free formula containing a unique blend of minerals and botanicals, including the star ingredient, aloe vera.

This ingredient helps to hydrate skin, while softening fine lines and wrinkles without clogging pores.

Celebrity and movie make-up artist Yolanda Halston created Aero Minerale, which has a huge celebrity following, including Angelina Jolie, Natalie Portman, and Britney Spears, to name but a few.

There are 10 different shades to chose from. Once you choose a shade, it’s time to get spraying.

Shake the can before use. Cover head to hairline. Hold the can 6-8 inches away from the face, close your eyes and evenly mist Aero Minerale down the centre in a small zig-zag for even-looking coverage.

This is great for a “no make-up” look. However, for a more customised coverage, spray Aero Minerale to the palm of your hand and use a foundation brush to apply, or spray directly onto a makeup sponge.

The Aero Minerale primer works the same way and is used under foundation to help illuminate skin and prep face, lashes, lips and skin.

Gazette Style Verdict:

Well, it does exactly what it says on the can! Personally, I prefer to spray on my hand and use with a foundation brush, but if you’re in a hurry or in the back of a taxi and need to reapply, a quick spray and you’re back in business.

The coverage is great and does feel lightweight on the skin. It is also quick-drying, so blend soon after spraying.
