Go batty in Gotham

IT SEEMS that The Caped Crusader (aka Batman, aka billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne) is never far away from popular culture, including videogames, as a number of products demonstrate at the moment.
While cinema fans look forward to Ben Affleck putting on the cape in next year’s Batman V Superman, and TV watchers delve into the murky city that the newly orphaned child Bruce Wayne grew up in, gamers have never been left wanting for some great Batman games, with Batman: Arkham Knight (developed by Rocksteady Studios, published by Warner Bros Interactive) delivering Bats and “friends” in style.
The recently released game has been a smash hit on next-gen (now current gen) platforms, delivering a visual tour de force as one of the flagship titles to really show what the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are capable of. PC owners, however, experienced a different Gotham (see panel, below).
The title’s stunning graphics have really brought the seedy, criminal underbelly of gothic Gotham to glistening life.
