Super walk to take place in Phoenix Park this weekend for Guide Dogs

by Rachel Darcy

Calling all dog owners and lovers – an exciting fundraising walk for the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind will take place in the Phoenix Park this weekend.

The Dogs Unite 5km Walk will run from 11am on October 6 and aims to raise funds for the cause. You don’t need a dog to take part, but furry friends are more than welcome to join in on the fun.

This is an opportunity for all dog lovers to unite and celebrate their furry friends,” said event organiser with Irish Guide Dogs Lynda Foley.

“We are encouraging people to bring their dogs of all shapes and sizes to support this worthwhile cause.”

Anyone that wants to take part can sign up online at the website, GuideDogs.ie, or register on the day from 11am with walk commencing at 11.30am sharp.

Individual registration is €10 for one adult, or family registration is €20. This covers 2 adults, unlimited children and two capes.

All entrants receive a cape for their #PAWsome dog. All tickets purchased go towards supporting our services changing the lives of people who are vision impaired and families of children with autism.
