Black Raven Credit Union – Supporting The People Who Help Your Local Community

by Gazette Reporter

At Blackraven Credit Union, our members are the employees and retired employees of Fingal, South Dublin and Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Councils. We are the Credit Union who provide savings, loans and services to your local authority employees. Although a relatively small Credit Union, we believe we make a real difference in the lives of our members and our reach stretches across every part of Co. Dublin. At Black Raven we have over 40 volunteers who give their time, expertise and skills to the organisation and form our valued committees. Volunteers who are proud members of Black Raven and showcase their positive spirit and energy in everything they do, to manage and sustain our Credit Union.

At Black Raven we are very proud to be celebrating 40 years this year supporting our members, who are in the frontline every day and we have worked hard during Covid 19 to adapt our business model and up skill our staff and systems, to offer our members more services on-line. “We are delighted to participate in #LovingLocal with our colleagues in Credit Unions across Dublin”, explains Susan Lynch, CEO Black Raven Credit Union. “As part of our feature, we would like to highlight and thank employees of Dublin County Councils. People who have tirelessly worked to help others and are part of the fabric of Dublin communities. Council employees who have been busy carrying out essential services in the community and have worked tirelessly from home supporting those on the frontline. At Black Raven we are very proud to call these people our members”.
