Shelbourne’s Young Red’s set an example for their Senior counterparts with some Cup final role reversal last weekend.
The U-17 side showed Noel King’s first team how you go about defeating Athlone Town to retain a cup.
Three weeks before the Tolka Park side face Athlone in the FAI Cup final, the Under-17’s defeated the same Westmeath opponents in the U-17 Women’s National League decider.
The win see the rising stars celebrate back-to-back cup success, something the older crew can do if they win aa Shels versus Athlone ‘Chapter 2’ Cup final at Tallaght Stadium on November 19.
Rebecca Devereux and Katie Ray were Shels goal scoring heroes on the day.
