Hoops bosses still on the Ranch

The Shamrock Rovers management team celebrated a big win over St Pats last weekend, although not in the manner you’d imagine.

Stephen Bradley and Glenn Cronin were not toasting three League of Ireland points after getting one over on Dublin rivals St Patrick’s Athletic.

They were not even rejoicing a Shamrock Rovers win – rather the former pros of note were joyous in the colours of CIE Ranch.

The management duo dusted off their boots and got to let their feet do the talking once again in an Over 35s Division1 South League clash.

The former Exeter City midfielder and the former Rovers and Pats player manned the midfield admirably and played a key win over St Patrick’s CY at Ringsend, the spiritual home of the club they manage.

However, it was Paul Mooney who proved the hero scoring a brace that allowed the Ranch to ride off into the sunset with all three

 points.

Mooney’s double gave the visitors a two-goal halftime cushion and despite a late push from the hosts they held on to get the season off to a winning start.
