Rounders proving a big social hit in Dublin clubs

St Maur’s host Kevins under lights on Friday night in the latest installment of the ever-growing Dublin Social Rounders League.

There are six teams in the competition, including four mainstream GAA clubs – St Finian’s Swords, Na Fianna, St Mar’s and Kevins HC –  as well as two rounders only clubs.

Dublin Metropolitans play in the Law Society in Stoneybatter, while  Limekiln play out of Tymon North and they head the league table. You can find out more on the Dublin Social Rounders Facebook Page.

“There has been significant growth in participation reported at the recent GAA Rounders AGM,” said Kevins’ Dáithi Ó hAoláin, “with the number of clubs growing from 21 to 52 nationally in the past two years.

“And I understand that a number of clubs have registered since,” he added.
