Some were racing it, some were doing there first one, some were fundraising, either way everyone had their own reason for taking part.

Many had an entry carried over from 2020, the last running had been in 2019.

First timers were Teresa Farrell, Jacinta Linehan, Amanda Ryan, Amanda Breen, Vicki Casserly and Aidan Montague all delighted to get over the line healthy and uninjured.

Superwoman Eileen O Brien completed her 40th Marathon in an 4hrs and 4 min, claiming a National Silver medal in her O-70 age category.

Also earning a silver medal in her category O60 was Mary Browne in a PB time of 3 hours 48 min.
