Dean Ivory scored a precious hat-trick as Finglas United bounce back from their first defeat in 14 games to regain an LSL Senior 1B Sunday promotion slot on Sunday.
Finglas dropped out of the top three after mid week defeat to promotion rivals Rush Athletic, but made sure there first reverse since September was more blip than mini crisis by getting straight back to winning ways.
The Northside outfit hit Ardmore Rovers for six away from home to bank a three points that keep their promotion faith in their own hands,
The visitors showed no signs of a hangover from their Rush reverse, taking a 4-1 lead into the turn.
Ivory helped himself to a double helping of goals in the opening 45 with Ross Buckley and David ‘Crocket’ Somers also finding the back of the net.
Ivory completed his hat trick after the break and Jordan Wright further increasing the goal difference with the away sides sixth,
The win means Finglas are on 43 points, sitting in third with two games remaining.
Kilmore Celtic, who enjoyed a huge 6-0 win over Oliver Bond Celtic over the weekend, are top on 45 points with two games remaining, Ballyfermot United sit third on the same number of points but with a lesser goal difference and a game less to play.
Rush are also in the picture but with 42 points and 21 games played ,need
