Kelly fights for Ireland at Karate Europeans

NINETEEN-YEAR-OLD Anthony Kelly from Blanchardstown has been selected to represent Ireland at the upcoming European Karate Championships in Zadar Croatia.

This will be the first time Anthony (right) has been selected to represent Ireland at senior level.

Anthony has numerous National titles and has had recent success internationally taking Gold at the British Open in 2023.

Anthony went to school at Scoil Olibhear in Coolmine and Scoil Chaitriona in Glasnevin.

He has been an avid GAA player with Castleknock GAA Club wining the Hurling Feile with Castleknock in 2019.

Anthony has three brothers and one sister who are all involved .

Anthony’s father is the Senior Male coach with the Irish Karate Team and will be travelling with him to Croatia.

Mam Jackie and the rest of the family will be watching on TV providing their support from their home in Blanchardstown.
