Olympian Finn on hand for 5k fun run in Ballymun

MORE than a thousand runners and walkers turned out for the third annual Ballymun Running Festival, held in the grounds of Trinity Comprehensive School. 

Among them were children from local primary and secondary schools who took part in the 5km run early in the morning. In the evening, the adults ran between 5km and the marathon distance on a loop around the school (nine laps equals 5km).

The run was run in conjunction with Ballymun Regional Youth Resource and Dublin City Council, while supervising the warm-ups  was triathlete and double Olympic steeplechaser Michelle Finn.
