Baldoyle became official “affiliate club” of Shamrock Rovers

BALDOYLE United FC has become an official “affiliate club” of League of Ireland champions Shamrock Rovers.  

Both clubs wear the famous green and white hoops and the announcement was made ahead of the return to non-contact training for Under-18 sports on April 26.   

The clubs will work together to develop coaching techniques at Baldoyle “to a professional level for both the boys and girls sections, and from the small sided-games to the 11-a-side game levels”. 

Baldoyle United Chair Dermot Penrose said of the link:  “This is another part of the development of the club. Our aim is to provide high quality coaching to our young players to ensure they meet their potential.   

“We are impressed with the commitment from Rovers to youth development in both their Academy and underage structures. We look forward to our young players benefitting from the wealth of talent, knowledge and professionalism at Shamrock Rovers.”
