Gardaí arrested two men this morning in relation to the fatal shooting of Wayne Whelan in Lucan in November.
A man in his 30s is currently being detained under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 at Lucan Garda Station.
The second man, who is in his 40’s, is being detained under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 at Ronanstown Garda Station.
Wayne Whelan, who was from west Dublin, was shot dead before the car he was in was set on fire at Mount Andrew Rise in Lucan on 18 November.
He was identified through DNA.
