Lucan Festival: Lucan for a fun time? This was the place to be

by Gazette Reporter

The ninth annual Lucan Festival family fun day passed off without a hitch in the centre of the village at the weekend, drawing together thousands of people from all across Lucan and the wider area for a great day together. As always, the centre of the pretty, historic village was closed off to traffic – all the better for the crowds of people and visitors to spill across the footpaths and roads, strolling along to take in the wide array of stalls and entertainments arranged for the big day. From lots of talented locals showing off their skills in a variety of things to visiting guests, including the always popular Garda Band, the dancers, singers and musicians all made it an event to remember.
