The Irish Blue Cross will host its annual Bark in the Park sponsored dog walk in Tymon Park this Sunday.

The Bark in the Park fundraising events have been running for the last ten years and repeatedly attracts hundreds of dogs – and their humans – for a fun family day out.

“We can’t wait to meet even more dogs and their lovely owners this weekend, all coming together to help us raise money to support our work,” said Alison Kelly, Marketing and Events Manager at The Irish Blue Cross.

“We couldn’t do what we do if it wasn’t for the incredible support of the community.

“We’re calling on pet families to join us in Tymon Park North on Sunday – come along with your family, bring a picnic, take part in our classes and games and mingle with other dog families.

It’s a fantastic day out for everyone and an opportunity for people to help make a difference.  Pets need our help, so we need yours”

The Irish Blue Cross is well known for the charitable veterinary services is provides from it’s small animal clinic in Inchicore and from the mobile clinics which operate in communities across Dublin every weekday evening.

The charity is hosting five Bark in the Park sponsored walks this year. Funds raised at these events will go towards helping the thousands of sick and injured pets the charity cares for each year.

There will be plenty to keep everyone entertained with dog training classes and a mini-agility course hosted by Positive Dog Training.

Your furry friends could also be in with a chance of taking home the title of Dog with the Happiest Smile, Waggiest Tail, Shiniest Coat, Best Bark and Best Overall Dog.

Registrations start from 2pm and all entrants will receive a free goody bag (while stocks last).

The Irish Blue Cross hope to raise in the region of €25,000 from their five Bark in the Park events this summer.

The remaining Bark in the Park event for 2018 will take place in Ardgillan Castle in Balbriggan on Sunday, September 2. More details can be found at www.barkinthepark.ie.
