[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]A local school continued their quest to raise funds for a sought-after sports hall with a special event.

Gaelscoil Chluain Dolcain on the Old Nangor Road hosted a very successful Christmas Fair last Friday which will help them on their journey.

Jessica Sherwin, chairperson of the school’s Cairde (parents association) explained to Dublin Gazette why this year’s Christmas Fair was extra special.

“We are delighted with the success of our recent Christmas Fair and would like to thank everyone who supported it.

“We had a great day, it went so well, the money raised will be going to an important cause. We are fundraising for a much needed sports hall in our school.

“Some days our children cannot do PE as we have nowhere for them.

“There’s a great Christmas spirit and fun in our school right now, we are one big family.

“We are a small enough school only just over 400 students but we are very much involved around our little village.

“We need all the support we can get in order to reach our target so any help from the community is very much appreciated.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
