A local dance school will celebrate their 10th anniversary with a spectacular original show in the Helix next weekend.

Dance LA will perform We Can Be Heroes, an original production bursting with energy, on Saturday, June 30.

Founded in 2008 by sisters Lorna and Adele Dempsey, Dance LA’ s aim is to provide students with all the skills, guidance, expertise and support they need in the professional world of performing arts.

Classes are available in hip hop, jazz, tap and contemporary dance, musical theatre, singing, drama, theatre skills, audition technique and stage presence.

The sisters have now created five productions over the 10 years, and host classes in Leixlip, Celbridge and Castleknock.

Lorna and Adele say they can’t wait to celebrate 10 years of success with their latest show.

They said: “It’s been a roller coaster of a journey producing this show and watching our
students grow over the 10 years.

“They too have taught us many things along the way. The excitement of showcasing all our hard work, growth, dedication and the talented students of Dance LA means everything to us”

We Can Be Heroes is a story where science and technology is threatening the survival of planet Earth.

The Universe sends superheroes Kate Cannonball, Libby Luxury, Zac Mooney and Max Morrison to save and restore love, peace, hope and presence and create deep and meaningful connections with our millennial’s.

This exhilarating storyline questions our overstimulated world of social media, its influence on teenagers today and our interactions with one another.

The group will perform a matinee show at 3pm followed by an evening show at 7pm. Tickets priced €20/€15 are available from
