As part of a county-wide villages initiative, South Dublin County Council has completed upgrade works to Templeogue Village, writes Rachel Cunningham.
In addition to improving the general aesthetic of the village, the upgrade promises to provide some additional amenity areas for the local community and to improve the overall safety of road users, especially cyclists and pedestrians.
Designed with input from local businesses, residents and elected members of the council, the enhancement works also include a new village car park of 38 spaces, provision of e-charging infrastructure, an upgrade of the village’s drainage network and the planting of new trees. The works were carried out by Bretland Construction.
