Snow much fun for all the family at The Civic Panto

by Padraig Conlon

Seeing as it’s Christmas it must be time to hit the theatre for an annual dose of joyful panto fun.

Dublin Gazette was lucky enough to attend The Civic Panto Gala VIP Night last week to sample this year’s excellent offering, Snow White.

A full house which included noted guests like Mayor Vicki Casserly, 2FM DJ Ruth Scott, Rebecca Grimes and Sorcha Furlong from Fair City, comedian Enya Martin, and actors Seana Kerslake, Ste Jones and Rex Ryan were treated to a wonderful night’s entertainment in Tallaght.

The well-known and much-loved story of how Snow White (Megan Clarke) is terrorised by Evil Queen Cruella (Lauren Nevin) and rescued by her Prince (Conor O Brien) is packed with great song and dance routines, hilarious comedy and dazzling scenes.

Other outstanding performances are given by Dame Dotty (Morgan Crowley), Magic Mirror (Eimear Morrissey) and Tickles (Kevin Keeley) who between them manage to bring the house down.

The show is also enhanced by the 42 amazingly talented children from 21 different stage and dance schools from all over Leinster who provide awesome dancing and singing throughout the performance.

This festive favourite is guaranteed fun for all the family, from age 4 to 90!

There is plenty here for everyone including loads of audience participation as well as several surprises thrown in too for good measure.

Snow White runs until January 5th with two performances daily and a sensory friendly performance.

The Civic Panto is great value for money with a Family Ticket €65 (2 adults & 2 children) and of course free parking in The Civic car park from 4pm.
