A bomb threat at Delbrook Manor, the estate where Justice Minister Alan Shatter resides, turned out to be a hoax this week.
Early on Wednesday morning, April 2, neighbours in the Delbrook estate got onto Twitter to describe the scene in which a number of Garda cars and the Army Bomb Disposal Unit were present
A spokesperson for the Defence Forces told The Gazette: “An army disposal team were deployed and arrived at 9.55am to a house in South Dublin.
“They declared the area safe at 10.55am and we can confirm that it was a hoax.”
Minister Shatter has lived at the Delbrook Manor estate, Ballinteer for the last 17 years with his wife and two children.
