South Dublin County Council has announced the launch of this year’s schedule of events to mark Africa Day 2022, writes Rachel Cunningham.
Africa Day is an initiative of the African Union, which celebrates African diversity and success and the cultural and economic potential of the continent. In Ireland, these events are supported by Irish Aid, the government overseas aid programme, managed by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
This year, South Dublin County Council have teamed up with a number of local community groups to provide events for all to get involved with during the week.
