Gaelscoil Lir, a new multi-denominational school, is opening this September on Fortunestown Lane in Saggart, writes Amy Rohu.
School manager Cormac McCashin told The Dublin Gazette: “We have families from all around
registered to attend the school which is very exciting for us. The area is very diverse and as a result of that all of the schools in the area are very diverse and we are no exception. This week we have launched videos on our website promoting our school in a variety of different languages such as Polish, Romanian and French. We want to show our openness to all members of the community.”
He continued to say: “It’s very nice to see everyone come together with the Irish language and culture as the common denominator. We are really excited to open in September and welcome everyone into the school.”
