Dublin City Council has received requests from local businesses and the Sandymount and Merrion Residents Association to consider closing one side of Sandymount Green to facilitate outdoor dining this summer
DCC are asking local residents to make their views on this proposal known before they make any further decisions on the matter. According to plans, they could facilitate the request to make one side of Sandymount Green traffic free, except for emergency access at all times, and introduce additional bike parking.
DCC are currently holding a two-week period of consultation which will run until May 14th. Those wishing to share their views can do so online at www.dublincity.ie.
