A multi-million euro investment for a national indoor sports arena in Blanchardstown was announced during Budget 2014.
This year’s budget left young and old feeling the brunt of cuts, while investment in the construction industry and entrepreneurs was announced.
One such investment is €13m in funding for construction work on the national indoor sports arena at the National Sports Campus in Blanchardstown.
This comes a week after a new state-of-the-art National Horse Sport Arena was officially opened on the campus.
According to Minister for Social Protection Joan Burton the “important” project will provide a welcome local jobs boost, with the creation of 130 construction jobs and up to 20 long-term jobs.
