Council approve budget for 2013

by Staff Reporter

A “comprehensive” budget which will see Fingal County Council “deliver essential services and social supports” throughout the county in 2013 has received the council’s seal of approval.
According to Fingal county manager, David O’Connor, one of his key priorities in 2013 is to maintain and continue to improve the efficient delivery of services to residents.
The budget provides for a total expenditure of €218,577,900, and an income of €77,257,500.
The budget was approved despite requests by the local Fianna Fail group to defer it until January as it failed to include projections for property tax on the thousands of council houses it owns.
