Ahead of two massive sold out shows at the 3Arena this December and following the success of his debut album Without Fear, Dermot Kennedy has announced a huge outdoor show at Malahide Castle next Summer.

Kennedy will play Malahide Castle on June 26, ahead of another massive gig on June 27 in Cork’s Irish Independent Park.

Dermot Kennedy has said that his debut 12-track album is “[his] best effort in presenting [himself] to the world”.

“I wanted it to represent darkness and sorrow but also hope, and that battle between them, and the way that in life you’ll inevitably experience beautiful things and terrible things,” he says of ‘Without Fear’.

“This is the only way I know how to put feelings across,” he says. “Great people like Van Morrison, they did this too. So, you’ve got to do it.”

Thanks to radio hits like ‘Lost’, ‘Outnumbered’ and the career-defining ‘Power Over Me,’ Kennedy has gained over 750 million streams and boasts 11.5 million listeners monthly on Spotify alone. He has received a nod in the BBC Sound Of 2019 and was voted NPR Slingshot’s Best New Artist of 2018.

Tickets for the Malahide Castle show go on sale on Friday, November 8 at 9am from Ticketmaster.ie, priced at €49.90.
