THE NATIONAL Forecast by Met Eireann predicts this week will be sunny and humid with showers starting from as early as tonight along the west Munster coast. Highest temperatures will rise to 23 degrees.
Monday
In the majority of areas this afternoon and evening Ireland will be warm and sunny with highest temperatures of 19 to 23 degrees.
The west Munster coast will experience patchy rain and drizzle tonight. Lowest temperatures are set to range between 11 to 13 degrees.
Tuesday
Across the country it will be mainly dry and the eastern half is due to experience the best of the sunshine.
Temperatures will remain at a high 19 to 23 degrees.
Tuesday night is predicted to be met with heavy rain spreading eastwards across the country.
Wednesday
The start of Wednesday is going to be dull with showers continuing until mid day. Sunny spells will return by the afternoon.
Connacht and Ulster will be the provinces hit with rain later in the afternoon/evening. However, the majority of the east and south of Ireland will remain dry.
There will be a drop in temperatures, varying from 16 to 18 degrees.
Thursday
Highest temperatures range from 16 to 18 degrees. The weather will be mixed with bright sunny spells and scattered heavy showers.
The northern half of the country will be most affected by showers with southern counties tending to be drier for the majority of the day.
Friday
The first half of the day will be dry with sunny spells. The afternoon will experience scattered outbreaks of rain, mainly in the west and south of Ireland.
Saturday & Sunday
The weekend will be wet and windy with sunny spells. Highest temperatures will remain between 16 to 18 degrees.
