Another very busy week for Lucan Harriers

On Wednesday and Friday evening we had The Dublin Juvenille Relay championship, a great night to showcase our track.

There were  twenty running clubs from around Dublin represented on the night, with some fantastic team performances, by all clubs There was also a great support for all teams. It was also the single largest event held on our track since it reopened in 2019. Well done to Eoin and Niamh Fitzgerald who in conjunction with Dublin Athletics were the driving force behind the event

Great to see such success for the hosts

Harriers also had a great numbers running in the race of the Dublin City Marathon series. The 5 mile in Tallaght this is where the training for the marathon really kicks off and it starts to get real. This is the first of a series of races building up to the marathon on the Bank Holiday weekeend at the end of October. Well done to everone who took part and best wishes to all those participating in the rest of the series and the marathon itself

Aidan Montague took to the trails of the Dublin Mountains on Saturday to take part in the Dublin Mountain trail running festival. Aidan completed a distance of 17 miles climbing 2800 feet in the process in a super time of 3 hours 17 minutes, super acheivement

Congratulations to Aoife Bradley who travelled to the Curragh to take part In the thoroughbred 5K completing it in Sub 30 for the first time this year.
