Irish Guide Dogs Fundraiser

by Rose Barrett

Well done to Ms O’Neill’s class in Scoil Chormaic CNS, Balbriggan which recently raised monies for the Irish Guide Dogs. Student Luke who is in Ms O’Neill’s class recently got an assistance dog named Milo.

Canine Milo has made such a difference to Luke in his everyday life! The class did a 10km walk during the last fortnight of May and raised an incredible €1,350 to date for the Irish Guide Dogs.

Recently some volunteers from the IGD brought three working dogs and two puppies in training to the school. Students walked with the volunteers and guide dogs and learn about the impact the dogs have on children.

A special thank you to Luke’s mother, Georgina and to Tom O’Neill for arranging such a special event. Well done again to all the boys on the monies they’ve raised.
