The Honorary Freedom of South Dublin County was conferred on South Dublin Volunteer Centre, in recognition of its outstanding work during the COVID-19 pandemic, writes Rachel Cunningham.
The Honorary Freedom of the county is the highest civic honour that can be bestowed upon an individual by South Dublin County Council and it is reserved for those who have made exceptional or unique contributions to the common good or to persons who have made outstanding contributions to South Dublin County.
The event in the Round Tower was organised by Mayor Kavanagh and South Dublin County Councol to pay tribute to the spirit of volunteering.
