SOME well-known Dubs have taken time out to wish our readers a very Happy Easter – and so say all of us.
We may be marking our second Easter in a pandemic but there is light at the end of the tunnel – and ASLAN, the cast of Fair City and Virgin Media One presenters share their messages of hope…
Christy Dignam: It’s been over a year since ASLAN performed a live gig. As Easter approaches and hopefully some easing of the lockdown measures, we want to wish you all a Happy Easter. I for one can’t wait to get back on stage to entertain you all, as only ASLAN can. Happy Easter everyone!
Billy McGuinness: We know personally how hard the past year has been with the entertainment industry one of the hardest hit by the coronavirus. But coming into Easter there is light at the end of the tunnel and with the vaccine roll out we will get there. So from us all we wish you a very Happy Easter. Don’t forget to spoil the kids with lots of chocolate. Looking forward to seeing you when live music comes back.
Tony Tormey (Paul Brennan): Happy Easter to all Dublin Gazette readers, hope you all stay safe and healthy in these strange times! Don’t forget they say that chocolate increases good mood endorphins, so eat loads of chocolate, we deserve it! Tony T.
Martina Stanley (Dolores): Easter is a time of renewal, new beginnings, and hope, which is something we all need during this difficult time! Keep the faith everyone; have a wonderful Easter and enjoy lots of chocolate!
Úna Crawford O’Brien and Bryan Murray: Happy Easter to all the readers of the Dublin Gazette. We have an egg tree covered in eggs and this year we’re going to have a bunny race with wind-up bunnies. So here’s wishing you all a bit of fun and madness this Easter. Úna and Bryan.
Geoff Minogue (Tommy): Happy Easter to all the readers of the Dublin Gazette! I hope your weekend is filled with lots of joy, fun and chocolate and that it can be spent with those you love. And to all the little ones, I hope the Easter Bunny has been kind! Geoff M.
Karen Koster: This Easter is going to be another tough one, but I’m banking on a good summer and life starting again finally in July! And plenty of chocolate over Easter will get my family through it… Happy Easter and best wishes to all the readers.
Lisa Cannon: I always like Easter as it’s a very cheery time of year what with the crisp weather and yellow daffodils; I always feel like hope is afoot. My grandmother was born and died in April, it’s a beautiful month really to me as she lived to be 103 years exactly. Always hope in that. I always like it as I feel Summer is edging close and we are out of the harsh winter… better weather/BBQs and literally a spring in your step. I’m planning on painting the house and doing the garden soon and fingers crossed my plants will grow and flourish like us all! Love the Easter eggs and spring colours too!!! Xx
Alan Hughes: I know this Easter is going to be tough for so many families who won’t be together… but we have to look forward to the day very soon when we will be able to give our loved ones big hugs and kisses. Send an Easter card, make a call, keep in touch and make someone smile this Easter!!
Glenda Gilson: Wishing everyone a very happy Easter. Easter egg hunt in the garden is probably the most fun you’ll have this year xxx
Former UTV Ireland presenter Jenny Buckley from Howth: Happy Easter, here’s to focusing on family and being in the moment. A time to reflect and to appreciate the little things. The days are getting brighter, summer is around the corner and good times are ahead xxx
