Dún Laoghaire Anseo 2022 will see some of the best practitioners of street art from Ireland and further afield take to the streets of Dún Laoghaire again from 3rd -14th August. Now in its second year, the Street Art festival will welcome ten artists to the town over the course of 12 days in August, writes Alex Greaney.
Dún Laoghaire Anseo will celebrate the town, with a nod to its setting nestled by the coast. They’ll also have a special piece that pays tribute to much-missed local icon Ronnie Drew, done by Shane Sutton.
Speaking at the launch, An Cathaoirleach Councillor Mary Hanafin said: “We’re looking forward to expanding the town’s open-air gallery, and watching the artists bring their bold and bright designs to the walls of our town. Dún Laoghaire Anseo will showcase all this vibrant town has to offer and there’ll be a warm welcome for young and old who come to see these creations take shape.”
