DFB responded to a 999 call at 6:10am and quickly attended the scene of the fire at Scoil Chaitriona GNS just off the Malahide Road.

Posting on Twitter, DFB said: “We currently have a number of units at a building fire off the Malahide Road near Mask Avenue, a tanker has been requested to supplement the water supply. Traffic restrictions in immediate vicinity.

Issuing another update at around 9am, the fire service said that they have made good progress and that smoke has reduced in the area.
