An exciting dog festival is coming to Dublin this August

Bring the entire family and your beloved dogs to Dogs Trust’s first festival-themed event, Dog Trustival on August 18.

In celebration of Dogs Trust rescuing and rehome dogs for ten years, the dog-friendly event will have entertainment for the family while including activity areas for the dogs.

Main activities include an “Education Corner” with face-painting for children, a “Pup-up” photo booth, a “Museum of Modern Bark” and “Tailwagger Walk”  market filled with dog retailer and various street food vendors.

Everyone is invited to watch “Dog Tales with Andrea Hayes,” a competition where people can share how their dog has impacted their lives and how much they mean to them. It will be judged by Dogs Trust Head of Operations Karla Dunne, Irish model Holly Carpenter and TV presenter Maia Dunphy.

There will be live music from Hudson Taylor who feature some dogs from Dogs Trust in their latest music video. The Dublin band, SAARLOOS, will be playing their debut single, “Changes,” acoustically.

Family tickets are €35 and dogs are free for the event. Dogs are welcomed to the event, but they have to be comfortable around large crowds of children and people along with being well behaved and well socialised with other dogs.

Dogs Trust is Ireland’s largest welfare charity and they have successfully rehome 2,025 dogs in 2018 alone. They also offer workshops for children on how to properly take care of a dog.

So grab your pup and family to have a fun time at the Dog Trustival and support a local charity. For more information on Dogs Trust and this event on their website.
