Drivers are being advised to be vigilant as smoke from a gorse fire in Glencullen is creating poor visibility along the M50.
Firefighters from Rathfarnham Fire Station and Tallaght Fire Station are on the scene of the wildfire, with Dublin Fire Brigade advising that a strong breeze is blowing the smoke over a wide area.
They have said if you are affected by the smoke, to try and close all windows until the blaze is extinguished.
Firefighters and Coillte staff members remain on the scene, as images are shared of the poor visibility on the M50 between the J14 Sandyford and J15 Carrickmines exits.
Visibility of the smoke has been reported in Cabinteely, Dalkey, Dundrum and Shankill this morning, in addition to a burning smell.
