Downton Abbey actor Allen Leech pictured on set of his new rom com ‘As Luck Would Have It’ – a Hallmark movie set in Ireland.

The Downton Abbey star was pictured filming in the seaside town of Dalkey, which made headlines around the world when Matt Damon spent part of lockdown holed up in Eddie Irvine’s plush pad there last year.

Pictured filming in the quiet seaside town of Dalkey (famous for Matt Damon spending lockdown in 2020) the 39 year old actor who grew up in the local area is best known for his role in “Downtown Abbey”. Leech is best known for his role as Irish chauffeur Tom Branson in Downton Abbey, who falls in love with the ill-fated Lady Sybil. He also starred in Bohemian Rhapsody and The Imitation Game.

The 39-year-old actor, who grew up just down the road in Killiney, stars alongside ‘Sweet Magnolias’ actress Joanna Garcia Swisher, also pictured in the made for TV movie.

Directed by Clare Niederpruem, the movie follows the story of Lindsey (Swisher) travelling to Ireland to buy land that is perfect for a resort.

She decides to enter the town’s matchmaking festival to prove her investment and win over a handsome local (Leech).

The film will air on the Hallmark Channel on April 10.
