Funding route for Community Groups

by Rose Barrett

Community and voluntary groups in Fingal are invited to apply for funding to the 2021 Community Enhancement Programme (CEP), writes Rose Barrett..

This scheme provides small grants to enhance facilities in urban and rural communities, impacted by Covid-19.

The CEP is funded by the Dept of Rural and Community Development with Fingal allocated €150,521 in community grant funding.

The Programme has a particular focus on supporting groups in areas of disadvantage.  Applications are now sought from community and voluntary groups in Fingal for grants up to a maximum of €10,000, with the closing date for applications set at 4pm on July 6, 2021.

The 2021 CEP provides small grants to assist re-opening facilities such as community centres, men’s and women’s sheds, parish halls, clubs and youth centres. Funding can be used for necessary renovations and repairs, to purchase equipment such as tables and chairs, tools and signage, laptops and printers, lawnmowers, canopies, training equipment and so on.
